Who Can Benefit from the Jackloc Titan Window Restrictor?

The Jackloc Titan Window Restrictor is ideal for anyone looking to reduce the risk of falls from windows in their homes. Parents can rest assured that the Titan window restrictor can't be disengaged without the use of a key and is able to hold a force of 4,800 newtons (or the equivalent weight of 5 adult males) ensuring the safety of those using the window. Protect your children from falls, and your home from intruders!

Why the Jackloc Is Perfect for Twins

Once your little one is up and about, there's no telling where they can end up, and this includes in potentially dangerous situations. With two children getting into mischief, peace of mind is even more important, and the Jackloc Restrictor can give you one fewer thing to worry about.

Will the Jackloc Titan Folding Restrictor Fit My Window?

Unlike Jackloc's cable restrictors, the Titan Window Restrictor does not have a Universal fit and you may have to contact the manufacturer for advice. In general, the Folding Restrictor can be retrofitted onto side or top hung windows with uPVC, timber and aluminium frames.

Fitting Instructions for the Titan Folding Window Restrictor

To install your Titan Window Restrictor, you'll need to measure the different spacer sizes to find the correct one for your window. You'll then need to use a pencil to mark the desired position of each plate before using a drill to attach them.

How Big is the Jackloc Titan Folding Window Restrictor?

The dimensions of the Jackloc Titan Folding Window Restrictor are 60 x 45 x 73mm (HxWxL). It is thicker than other Jackloc restrictors for enhanced strength, but is still compact with a sleek design which allows it to fit seamlessly into most settings.

Do I Have to Use the Screws Provided?

The restrictor comes with a few sets of security clutch screws. To stop the restrictor from being unintentionally removed, these screws cannot be removed from the window unless a Tungsten carbide drill is used. For a less permanent fitting, you can use your own screws, although you should first make sure they are the correct size for the restrictor and suitable for your window.

What Colours Are Available?

The Titan Locking Window Restrictor is available in white, black, brown or dark grey. You can select your preference using the drop down box at the top of the page.

Will the Titan Window Restrictor Last a Long Time?

The Titan Window Restrictor is intended to be especially durable and comes with a ten year manufacturing guarantee. The product is made entirely of metal with reinforced steel hinges, making it very difficult to break. There are no cables on it which a burglar would be able to cut.

Why Is it Important to Keep Ward Windows Open?

According to research, the rate of exposure to airborne infection is four times higher in hospital wards were the windows are kept closed. In wards where windows are open, there is sufficient ventilation to encourage the circulation of air, reducing the infection risk.
